And to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, help me focus on the new man You created in righteousness and holiness. Remind me that my old self is crucified with Christ and I am free from sin. Renew my mind by Your Spirit so I may put on the new man, being kind and compassionate, laying down my life for others as Christ did for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Beloved, I urge you to embrace the new man that God has created in you through redemption. Let your mind be focused on the new man, created in true righteousness and holiness, as stated in Ephesians 4:24. Recognize that the old man has been crucified with Christ, freeing you from the dominion of sin (Romans 6:6). Reckon yourself dead to sin and alive to God, living from God’s perspective in all things (Romans 6:11). Be renewed in the spirit of your mind, recognizing the holiness and righteousness granted to you through Christ. Put on the new man and let kindness, compassion, and love flow from you. Lay down your life for others as Christ did for you (1 John 3:16). Pray earnestly for this transformation and live as the new creation God has made you to be!
