Day 138/365 – The Call to Maturity and Humility

THE WORD: 2 CHRONICLES 7:14

If my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

LET’S PRAY

Lord, help me to seek your face, repent of my ways and grow in maturity. Help me to think like a Christian, believe your words, practice what I hear, and obey your instructions with humility and diligence. I ask for a new measure of growth and maturity in my life, that I may live a life that pleases you and brings glory to your name.”

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Remember that your thoughts are prayers, and your walk with Jesus is not just about seeking his hand, but seeking his face. If you feel like your Christian walk has plateaued, it’s time to examine your heart and seek a deeper level of maturity. God is calling you to grow up in Christ, to abide in him, and to be one with him. This requires humility, repentance, and a willingness to learn and obey his word. Don’t just go through the motions of Christianity; instead, seek to be equipped for the life of being a servant of God. Remember, your life in itself is a ministry, and your choices have consequences. So, take a moment to reflect on your life and ask God to help you humble yourself, pray, seek his face, and turn from your wicked ways. As you do, God promises to hear from heaven, forgive your sin, and heal your land.
