Day 69/365 – The Power of Choice

THE WORD: 1 JOHN 2:28

And now, little children, abide in him, so that when he appears we may have confidence and not shrink from him in shame at his coming.

LET’S PRAY

Lord, help me live a purposeful life, making choices that bring life, not death. Give me diligence to follow Your word accurately, without adding or subtracting. Protect me from deception and lies that try to disguise evil as good. Guide me in my calling and work, and help me tend my “garden” with care. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Let’s revisit the Garden of Eden, where God instructed Adam to tend and keep the garden, but also set a boundary: don’t eat from the Tree of Knowledge, which would bring death. God gave Adam the power of choice, with consequences. Today, we still make choices between life and death, good and evil.

The devil tries to deceive us, packaging evil as good, making us think we’re missing out if we don’t take a bite. But let’s pray for wisdom to make right choices, to tend our own “gardens” (our lives, relationships, hearts), and resist the enemy’s deception. May we abide in God, confident in Him, so we won’t be ashamed when He appears.
