THE WORD: MATTHEW 9:35-38
And Jesus went throughout all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom and healing every disease and every affliction. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’
LET’S PRAY
I surrender my life to you. Help me follow Christ wholeheartedly and multiply His kingdom. Give me humility to respect leaders and protect me from those who would lead me astray. Help me be like Jesus, even in hard times. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
I want to urge you to take a closer look at your life and identify areas where you may be walking in self-deception. Are you still operating under the old man, the you before Christ? Are you still controlled by lust and deception? The enemy will use these two things to keep you in bondage, even after you’ve accepted Christ. But God wants to set you free! He wants to renew your mind and transform your way of thinking. In Romans 8:5-9, Paul reminds us that those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. I want to challenge you to pray with me today, asking God to expose areas of your life where you may be operating under the carnal mind.
