Day 143/365 – God’s Love through Obedience

THE WORD: EPHESIANS 3:17-19

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

LET’S PRAY

Dear Lord, I ask that you help me obey you and grasp the depths of your love for me. As I seek to understand you more, reveal to me my capacity to receive your love in all its fullness. May my heart become a sacred dwelling place for you, firmly rooted in your unwavering love. Amen

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

I want to remind you that your depth is directly proportional to your obedience. You can’t just talk the talk; you gotta walk the walk. Obedience is what creates a home for God to dwell in communion with you. And when you obey, you keep yourself in tune with God’s thoughts and feelings towards you. So, don’t just go through the motions; dig deep into God’s love for you. Believe that Jesus is the one who makes His permanent home in your heart. And remember, your identity is rooted in God’s love, and you are a child of God. So, walk in love as Christ has loved you and given Himself for you. Don’t just try to please God with your behavior; let your obedience be a response to His love. And as you do, you’ll begin to understand the width, length, height, and depth of God’s love for you.
