Day 146/365 – Righteousness and Holiness

THE WORD: 1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

LET’S PRAY

Father God, prepare my heart and mind to reflect your character. Help me know my identity in you and make decisions that honor you. Protect our connection and help me abide in your presence, becoming more like you. May I shine your glory in a world that’s lost its way.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

We are living in a world that is increasingly comfortable with immorality and sin. But as a child of God, you have a responsibility to live a life that is set apart, holy, and righteous. How? We prepare our hearts and mind for action, fixing our hope firmly on His marvelous grace. We must shape our lives to become like the holy one who called us, living with holy awe and reverence.

Don’t be fooled by the world’s standards and morals. You are a child of God. Before you are a man, a woman, a teacher, a dancer, you are a child of God! And you have a Father who loves you dearly. He wants you to know who you are and where you come from, informing the decisions you make and the lifestyle you lead. He wants you to cultivate close proximity with him, beholding his nature and leading a life representative of the one you spend the most time with. So let’s pray!
