THE WORD: PROVERBS 10:4
A slack hand causes poverty, but the hand of the diligent makes rich.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, help me to overcome laziness and be diligent in the areas you have called me to, valuing what is important to you, and being sharp, meticulous, and persistent in my work and efforts.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
It’s time to take a hard look at ourselves. Are there areas in our lives where we’re being lazy and not doing what we know we should be doing? I know I’m guilty of it. I’ve been called to do certain things, but I’ve been putting them off because I don’t feel like it. But that’s just an excuse. The truth is, I’m being lazy. And I’m not alone. We all have areas where we need to step up and be more diligent. So let’s make a decision today to overcome laziness and be sharp, meticulous, and persistent in our work and efforts. Let’s value what’s important to God, even when it’s not enjoyable to us. Let’s bridge the gap between our carnal and spiritual nature and become the people God has called us to be. Will you join me in praying for diligence and a heart that’s willing to do what’s right, even when it’s hard?
