THE WORD: Luke 4:18-19
The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favour.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, we cry out to You for economic change and development in Africa’s urban centres. Provide the necessary policies and infrastructure to allow these rapidly growing cities to flourish, no longer defined by poverty, crime, and despair, but instead becoming beacons of hope, opportunity, and transformation. May Your Kingdom come and Your will be done in these places.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Beloved, the time has come for Africa’s urban centres to be transformed. The population of these cities has grown rapidly, but with a lack of economic development and poor infrastructure, they have become breeding grounds for poverty, crime, and despair.
It is time for you to cry out to the Lord, asking Him to provide the necessary policies and infrastructure to allow these rapidly growing cities to flourish.
Pray that these places would no longer be defined by poverty, crime, and despair, but instead become beacons of hope, opportunity, and transformation.
The Lord desires to bring freedom, recovery, and favour to the oppressed. Rise up and join Him in this transformative work.
