THE WORD: Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, I come to You in faith, asking that You help me to trust in You with all my heart. Strengthen me and draw me closer to Yourself in the midst of difficult circumstances.
Help me to lean not on my own understanding, but on Your wisdom and power.
Make my paths straight and may I emerge from these difficulties with a deeper faith, more sensitive to the Spirit, and a heart that is more fully surrendered to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Have you ever felt like you’re doing everything right, but life is still not going as planned? You’re not alone. Joseph, a man who lived an exemplary life, was wrongly accused and imprisoned. But God used that experience to prepare him for greatness. The same is true for you.Y
es, Satan ‘prowls around like a roaring lion’ (1 Peter 5:8), seeking to wreak havoc among God’s people. But his strategies shall fail.
The imprisoned Paul wrote the Epistles. The banished John saw heaven. The cemetery of Lazarus became a stage upon which Christ performed one of His greatest miracles. And the prison in which they placed Joseph became his stepping-stone to the palace for which God had destined him.
So trust in God and look for His purposes in the hard times of your life, and you’ll begin to see them as reversals to blessings.
