THE WORD: Philippians 1:6
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
LET’S PRAY
God, I need your help. Prepare me for the amazing plans you have for my life. I no longer want to try do it by myself.
Help me trust in your timing and surrender to your refining process. Purify my desires, aligning them with your will. Fill me with confidence in your ability to bring these dreams to life.
I surrender my life to you, trusting in your goodness and love.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Joseph’s life was a whirlwind of ups and downs, yet God was with him every step of the way, orchestrating events behind the scenes. Resented by his own family, tempted by his boss’s persistent wife, and wrongfully imprisoned for 13 long years – experiences that would crush the spirits of many.
But at his lowest points, when all seemed lost, God was positioning him for his ultimate calling as the deliverer of his people. “Until the time came to fulfil his dreams, the Lord tested Joseph’s character.” (Psalm 105:17-19) And God can do the same for you.
However, to have confidence in God fulfilling your dreams, they must be born of His Spirit, not your unmet ego needs, selfish desires, or need to prove something to others. Your motives matter. “Those who are in the flesh cannot please God.” (Romans 8:8) Let’s pray for a life surrendered to Christ.
