THE WORD: Hebrews 10:19-20
And this is the confidence we have before him: since we have boldness to enter the sanctuary by our own blood, we may have boldness to enter God’s presence in our time of need, with confidence in our faith that God will listen to us
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, I pray for the people of Mali, especially the children who are facing such overwhelming challenges. I ask that You would save and protect them, and grant wisdom to their leaders to make decisions that benefit their people.
I pray for stability and foreign investment, that the country may thrive and prosper. I ask that You would continue to use Christian ministries to reach more people with Your love. I also pray for peace to reign in Mali, and for the Prince of Peace to bring an end to the cycles of violence and conflict.
I pray for the salvation and protection of Christians, who have been displaced and are facing significant challenges. May Your kingdom come and Your will be done in Mali.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Today, I invite you to join me in lifting up the people of Mali in prayer. The situation is alarming—10% of children will not live to see their fifth birthday, and a third of them suffer from malnutrition.
The desert continues to expand, and the nation desperately needs stability and foreign investment. Mali has faced three military coups, and ongoing violence between Fulani herders and farming communities has resulted in deadly attacks and the displacement of thousands.
The Islamic State has also seized substantial areas in the south. Yet, in the midst of this turmoil, there is hope in Jesus Christ. Let us pray together that God will guide Mali’s leaders with wisdom, enabling them to make choices that uplift their people.
We ask for the salvation and protection of the children, and for Christian ministries to spread the love of Christ further. Let us continue to pray on behalf of Mali, confident that the Lord listens.
