Turn to me and be saved, all you ends of the earth; for I am God, and there is no other.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, I lift up Australia and its ecosystem. Their leaders are in need of Your guidance to make wise decisions that protect and restore their land. I pray that You will speak to them, and their hearts will hear You, leading them to embrace sustainable practices, invest in clean energy, and effectively combat bushfires.
Father, touch the hearts of all Australians, to see the impact of our actions on this environment. Reveal all practices of careless consumption, exploitative practices, and unsustainable living. May they turn towards You for wisdom, to make changes that reflect Your care for creation.
Empower believers in Australia to engage lovingly with their diverse society, sharing Your compassion and advocating for justice. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
We are seeing unprecedented challenges facing Australia’s ecosystem, from urban centres to rural landscapes, and the devastating bushfires of 2019-2020. It is clear that there is an urgent need for change.
We must pray for Australians to recognise their role in contributing to this crisis through careless consumption, exploitative industries, and unsustainable lifestyles. Let us ask God to guide them as they work towards true transformation and lasting restoration – for the land and in their hearts.
Additionally, with nearly a third of Australia’s population born overseas, we must pray for believers in Australia to engage with their multicultural society in meaningful and productive ways, sharing the love of Christ with their neighbours and advocating for justice and compassion.
As we unite in prayer, we trust that God will hear our petitions and bring healing and renewal to the nation of Australia.
