THE WORD: Psalm 34:17-18
The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, I lift Greece to You in prayer. May You awaken the hearts of its people to Your presence and love. Lord, guide this nation through its current trials, and let Your wisdom and strength be the cornerstone of its recovery. I pray for a spiritual revival that reconnects Greece with its Christian roots.
May there be restored hope and renewed faith across the land. May Your grace pave the way for economic stability and social harmony, uniting the people of Greece in peace and reliance on You. You are their unfailing source of peace and prosperity. May they know that you as lover and Father. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
In recent years, Greece has gone through wave after wave of troubles, from crippling debt to the shadows of financial collapse, inciting protests and unrest in its wake. Amidst this chaos, there’s such a need for us to intercede, to pray that through these trials, they will find a new desire and hunger for the Almighty, shifting their gaze from the fleeting solutions of this world to the everlasting strength and wisdom only God provides.
Let us ask for God’s mercy, guidance, and provision. The nation’s journey, marked by “The Crisis,” recession, and the compounded challenges of COVID-19, calls for our prayers to be a beacon of light, a source of comfort and catalyst for spiritual renewal. It’s time to pray that Greece will not only recover but also rediscover the real Christian heritage that has been its foundation for centuries. We read it in the Bible, but what if we could see it again today? What if there was an igniting of the faith that once flourished so brightly again in the hearts of its people?
I ask you to imagine a future where Greece’s struggles make way to a deep spiritual awakening, where the nation stands resilient, and its identity and path forward is made clear by the steadfast love and unshakeable peace of our Lord. It can be reality. But it requires our prayers!
