THE WORD: Isaiah 40:31
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, I pray that You would help me learn to wait patiently on Your perfect timing for my life, just like Joseph waited 13 years for his dream to come true. Give me the attitude of diligence and contentment in each season, trusting that You are working everything out for my good. Help me to see Your hand in every situation, even when I don’t understand what’s happening.
Renew my mind and perception of my circumstances, changing how I think from the inside out. Give me the strength to persevere and not grow weary in the waiting process, trusting that I will reap what I’ve been waiting for in due season, just as You promised in Galatians 6:9 and Isaiah 40:31. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Have you ever felt like you’re waiting for something to happen in your life, but it seems like it’s taking forever? I know I have. But let’s take a cue from Joseph’s story and learn to wait with patient perseverance. Remember how Joseph received his dream at 17 years old, but had to wait 13 years for it to come true? That’s a long time to wait, but instead of complaining, Joseph chose to work diligently with what God had given him in each season. His attitude was, “I’m going to work diligently with whatever God has given me in this season, until the time for my dream’s manifestation.”
Do you want to learn to do the same? Do you want to trust that God is working everything out for your good, even when you don’t see it yet? Do you want to be diligent and content in each season? What if your mind was renewed to the place that you can see God’s hand in every situation? Waiting is not just about changing our outward circumstances, but about changing how we think from the inside out. It’s about trusting that God is still working, even when we don’t see it yet.
As Galatians 6:9 reminds us, we can grow weary in well-doing, but if we don’t faint or lose heart, we will reap what we’ve been waiting for in due season.
