Do not copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, help me as I seek to repent and change my mind to align with Your thoughts and ways. Like the Psalmist, I ask You to teach me Your ways, that I may live according to Your truth. Grant me a purity of heart that I may honour You. Help me to learn Christ and understand the true message of the Gospel of the Kingdom, and put on a new man, transformed by the power of God, that my heart and mind may work in unison to be in tune with Your will. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Today, I want to discuss two principles: changing how we think and learning Christ. I want you to remember that the key to the principle of thinking lies in repentance, which in Greek is metanoia, meaning to change your mind. The key to the principle of learning Christ is belief. When Jesus first preached His message of the Gospel of the Kingdom, He gave us two essential instructions: repent, change how you think, and believe, for the kingdom is at hand.
What does this tell us? God is after your mental faculty, and God is after your heart. You believe in your heart, and you think with your mind. We need both of these working in unison to be in tune with what God is saying to us. So, will you take a moment to pray and ask God to renew your mind and align your heart with His will? Let’s pray together, asking that we would repent and change our minds to align with God’s thoughts and ways, learn Christ and understand His message of the Gospel of the Kingdom.
