THE WORD: Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, help me to trust in Your plan and instruction, even when I don’t understand the full picture. Cultivate in me the faith to take the next step, even when it doesn’t make sense to me. Transform me. Align my heart and mind with Your plans and purposes for my life, and help me to stay obedient and faithful to Your instructions. As I walk with You, develop in me Christlike patience, humility, and reliance on You.
In Jesus’ Name. Amen
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
When God called Abraham out of his father’s house, He gave him a simple instruction: ‘Come here, leave this place. I’m going to show you where to go.’ And just like Abraham, God may be calling you to take a step of faith, even if it doesn’t make sense to you right now. Let’s see if this sounds familiar: He’s giving you an instruction, but you do not have the full roadmap or understand every detail of the journey ahead. But here’s the thing: God knows what He’s doing. He has prepared a path for you beforehand, and He’s waiting for you to trust Him enough to take the next step.
A walk with God isn’t so much about knowing the destination or having the whole journey mapped out. It’s about who you’re walking with – it’s about being in step with the Lord Himself. So when God gives you an instruction, don’t worry if it seems confusing or unclear. Remember, God says in Ephesians 2 that He has prepared beforehand the path we should walk in. And as Psalm 119:105 says, “[His] word is a lamp to [your] feet and a light to [your] path.”
So I urge you to pray: ‘Lord, help me to trust in Your plan and instruction, and give me the faith to take the next step, even when it doesn’t make sense to me.’ As you pray this, God will begin to illuminate the way forward, and you’ll start to see the bigger picture of His plan for your life. Take this day to nurture an intimate love relationship with Him above all else. God is waiting for you.
