Come to me, all you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, I confess that there are areas in my life I’ve been waiting for time to heal me. Areas in my life where I have been hoping that things will just sort themselves out. But I realise now that it’s my choices that will dictate my transformation. Help me to make decisions today, rather than waiting for time to process. Give me understanding to recognise that my choices, not time, determine my timeline and transformation.
Show me where I’ve been waiting for You to do Your part, when in fact You’ve been waiting for me. Help me to come to Jesus, sacrificing my time and distractions, and experience Your overwhelming love. Give me the courage to take responsibility for my growth, and help me to place my transformation in Your hands, rather than relying on time to fix my problems.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Have you felt stuck and unable to make progress? Maybe you have decided to let time figure it out for you? Maybe there’s a decision you need to make, and instead of facing it, you’re hoping it will sort itself out. The Lord has a message for you: ‘You don’t have time’ to waste. You have choices to make. Every moment you spend looking back, every excuse you make to delay, is a moment stolen from your future. For some of us, we’ve been telling ourselves that we just need time to process, that time is the thing we need. But what if you realised that it’s not about time, or even God taking His time with your transformation; it’s about the choices you make within that time? Sometimes what we need isn’t more time, it’s more decisions. More choices.
Let this be a wake-up call: where you think you’re waiting for the Lord to do His part, it’s likely that He was waiting for you. You might think it’s just a matter of time that things will improve and change, but He’s waiting for you to show up.Will you continue to wait for time to heal you, or will you take responsibility for your transformation? Will you come to Jesus, making the sacrifice, turning off Netflix, putting the phone away, and just going on your knees and coming to God? Are you ready to allow yourself to feel the overwhelming love of God like never before.
Remember, you don’t have time to waste. You cannot leave it up to time. You have to make a choice. Will you place your transformation in the Father’s hands, or time’s? The clock is ticking. Choose wisely.
