FOOD FOR THOUGHT

As we try to navigate the complexities of life, it’s crucial for us to distinguish between heavenly wisdom and its earthly counterparts. Let’s be honest, earthly wisdom can seem appealing. There are moments where it even makes sense. Moments where it just feels natural to follow. But we must remember: t it’s tainted by biases, limited perspectives, and personal interests. We cannot let sensual wisdom, rooted in emotions, lead us to impulsive decisions that may bring regret. And even more importantly, more important than the regret we may or may not experience, we must be aware of devilish wisdom, which seeks to exploit and harm others.

So what should we do? The Bible is clear: pray for the wisdom that comes from above. Ask God to guide you towards decisions that align with His love, mercy, and justice. What else? We’ve got to detach from earthly influences. How? By cultivating a heart and mind that align with divine wisdom. Embracing divine wisdom requires a deliberate practice of maintaining clarity, concentration, and spiritual purity. It’s not just a matter of learning things from a book. It’s not just a matter of noting down steps. We have to adopt a redemptive nature, responding to offenses with a mindset focused on redemption rather than vengeance. And when faced with conflicts, complexities, and relationships, pray for divine wisdom to lead your decisions. It shows up in all areas of our lives.

So, take a moment to pray, asking God to guide you towards His wisdom, and watch as your life and the world around you transform.
