THE WORD: Isaiah 26:3
You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, help me to keep my gaze on you, in all seasons, whether in good times or in the middle of storms. Help me to not find peace in other things, but to find peace in you.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
I want to ask you, are you tired of letting external circumstances dictate your mood? Do you want to find a place where you can be unshaken by the ups and downs of life? Paul’s words in Philippians 4:4, ‘Rejoice always’, are not a command to rejoice because of our difficult circumstances, but rather an invitation to fix our gaze on the true source of peace and joy – Jesus Christ. When we do, we’ll find that our peace is not dependent on what’s happening around us, but on His presence within us.
Let’s pray together: ‘Lord, help me to keep my gaze on you, in all seasons, whether in good times or in the middle of storms. Help me to not find peace in other things, but to find peace in you.’ I urge you to take a moment to acknowledge Jesus’ presence in your life and ask Him to help you locate your peace in Him alone.
