DAY 115/365 – Avoiding the Sin of Omission

THE WORD: JAMES 4:17
So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
LET’S PRAY
Heavenly Father, guide us to be mindful of the good we are called to do in Your eyes. Help us actively seek opportunities to serve others and do what is right. May our spiritual growth be rooted in our actions and service to others, and may we be vigilant in avoiding sins of omission and living a life that radiates Christ’s love. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, it’s time to take a hard look at our lives and ask ourselves: are we truly living out our faith? It’s not enough to simply avoid the sins we actively commit; we must also be mindful of the good we fail to do. The parables of the wedding feast (Matthew 22:12), the foolish virgins (Matthew 25:3-11), the buried talent (Matthew 25:25-28), the rich man and his poor neighbor (Luke 16:19-24), and the barren fig tree (Mark 11:20-24) all demonstrate the consequences of not doing what is right. We may desire a deeper spiritual life, but true growth comes from actively serving others, just as Christ commanded. Let us pray for the strength and wisdom to live a life that radiates Christ’s love through our actions and service to others. Don’t let sins of omission hinder your walk with God – be vigilant and proactive in doing good.
