DAY 123/365 – The Power of Choice

THE WORD: 2 CORINTHIANS 8:12

For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

LET’S PRAY

Lord, help me to understand the power of my choices and empower me to make decisions that align with Your will and purpose for my life, glorifying You and benefiting others.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

As believers, we often underestimate the power of our choices and how they impact others. We must remember that God has a plan, but He also respects our right to choose. In Titus 1:2, we see that God promised eternal life before the world began, and this promise depends on God’s character, not ours. However, our choices can either align with or hinder God’s plan. Let’s look at the story of Ananias in Acts 9:10-15, where Jesus needed Ananias to make a choice to go to Paul, and Paul’s ministry hung on that choice. Similarly, in Acts 10, Peter’s choice to go to Cornelius was crucial for the spread of the Gospel. Our choices have consequences, and we must learn to exercise our right to choose in a way that glorifies God and benefits others. So, I urge you to pray with me, asking God to empower us to make decisions that align with His will and purpose for our lives.
