DAY 4/365 – Human Trafficking – A Call to Prayer

THE WORD: ISAIAH 1:17
Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.
LET’S PRAY
Lord, I pray for liberation, justice, and global action against human trafficking. I pray for the freeing of victims and that these traffickers will be held accountable. I pray for the families who have been affected, and that they will be reunited and made whole

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
The unsettling truth is that human trafficking has replaced drugs and firearms as the main activity of criminals. About 30 million people are enslaved, generating a staggering $32 billion yearly. Majority, especially women and children, are coerced into this industry, with 1.2 million children subjected to the commercial sex trade. Shockingly, very few traffickers face justice. Let’s pray for liberation, justice, and concerted global action against this modern-day slavery. Our prayers can bring hope to the oppressed and drive change in this dire situation.
