DAY 87/365 – Acknowledging God, the Ever-Present Helper

THE WORD: PSALM 46:1

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

LET’S PRAY

Grant me forgiveness for focusing on my troubles in prayer, neglecting the gifts of Your grace. I confess a prideful heart, dwelling on what I lack instead of thanking You for the strength You already provide. You are the firm foundation beneath my feet, my constant companion. Before I turn to fleeting solutions, guide me to recognize Your presence surrounding me. May my prayers become a wellspring of gratitude, overflowing with appreciation for the abundant blessings You shower upon me in every aspect of life. Amen.

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Brothers and sisters in Christ, let us take a moment before our prayers today. How often do we come with a heart focused on what we lack, overlooking the greatest gift we have already been given? Remember, our God is ever-present, a constant source of strength and guidance. Just as the prophets of old acknowledged God’s hand in their lives, let our prayers first reflect gratitude for this unwavering support. With hearts full of thanks, let us then approach the throne of grace, knowing that no matter the need, we never face it alone.
